Management Team


Adam Berk, Chief Executive Officer

Adam earned a degree in finance and hospitality management from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Miami School of Business. He was formally Chief Executive Officer of Osmio (currently GrubHub), the first patented web-online food ordering system. Adam is a founder of HYD For Men, an artisanal men’s grooming company that patented the first solution to extend the life of a razor blade by 400%. Adam is also the principal founder of PPI, a company that patented the first paper water bottle that is fully biodegradable, recyclable and compostable. 


Steve Hubbard, Chief financial Officer

Steve has thirty-five years of experience in operations, product and process engineering. He successfully planned and implemented a turnaround strategy for a semiconductor design and manufacturing company, BIT which was sold to PMC-Sierra for more than $1 Billion. Steve is the Director/Controller of North American operations at Advanced  Micro Devices. After serving in the United States Air Force, Steve became an auditor for Arthur Andersen.


Dr. Geoff Ostrove, Director of Operations

Geoff was formally the President of one of the first companies in Oregon to receive a recreational cannabis production license. He holds a PhD in Communication & Media Studies and Masters of Community & Regional Planning. Geoff has a professional background in public policy, having worked as a City Planner for Oregon’s Business Development Department and a Campaign Manager for a State Senator.


Jessica Feingold, SenIOR LEGAL COUNSEL

Jessica M. Feingold is licensed to practice law in Florida, Colorado, Texas and D.C. and is a Steering Committee Member of the ABA TIPS Cannabis Law and Policy Task Force.  She graduated Cum Laude and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Miami.  She received her J.D. from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and a Master’s of Law from the University of Miami School of Law, where she received her LL.M. in Real Property Development. Jessica was General Corporate Counsel for Medically Correct, LLC d/b/a incredibles, one of Colorado’s largest marijuana infused product manufacturers. She has focused her legal practice on regulatory compliance, products liability, intellectual property, business development and transactions, mergers and acquisitions, employment law and commercial real estate matters.

Mauria Betts, Director of Branding

Mauria is the founder of one of the first cannabis creative agencies, Potency. Since founding Potency in 2014, she has lead brand development for some of the most successful cannabis companies currently on the market. Her affinity for emerging markets and collaborating with industry leaders, has lead to an international client roster that includes cannabis businesses across the United States.

PRESTON GREENE, West Coast General Manager

Preston Greene is the General Manager for Yerba Buena Farms, one of the first recreationally licensed cannabis businesses in Oregon, and is a board member of the Oregon Cannabis Association. As a company leader to one of the leading cannabis businesses in Oregon, Preston’s combined knowledge and experience with business, law, and community relations make him a well versed and valuable addition to the ever growing and changing cannabis industry

Eugene Purtell, Director of Sales

 As a former Nike executive, Geno brings over 20 years of extensive sales experience to Stem and is looking forward to making the transition into the cannabis industry. Before leaving Nike in 2017, Geno worked as a Strategic Sales Rep, a Product Line Sales Manager, the European Divisional Sales Manager in Amsterdam, as well as the Strategic Account Director for New York City. Most recently, Mr. Purtell was the Jordan Brand Sales Director for strategic accounts.

Board of Directors & Advisors


Garrett Bender

Garret has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company since it’s inception in June 2016. He is the Principal and Co-Founder of Ascot Development LLC which commenced operations in 2003. He guided Ascot through numerous acquisitions and sale transactions and strategically manages Ascot’s land portfolio. He was President and CEO of an internet based B2B site which became the 5th most visited B2B sites on the web. From 1982 through 2000, Mr Bender was Vice President Sales and Marketing Worldwide for MCI. Mr. Bender’s experience as a founder and principal executive of several start-up companies and sales and marketing skills led to the conclusion that he should serve as director of the company. 


Lindy Snider

Lindy is the founder and CEO of Lindi Skin LLC, the first full line of skin care products for cancer patients. Prior to founding Lindy Skin, Lindy spent 18 years with Comcast Spectacor Inc. She worked with the Philadelphia Flyers and Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for the team. Lindy is an active investor in and advisor to many companies including medical cannabis-related businesses. Lindy identifies and helps mentor innovative companies and initiatives in the start-up and medical cannabis space, including Greenhouse Ventures, Kind Financial, ArcView Investment Group, and Athletes for Care. She currently sits on over 20 boards and advisory groups. 


Raji “Roger” Rai

In his capacity as Special Advisor to the Chairman at Rogers Communications, Roger Rai advises Edward Rogers, who is the representative controlling shareholder of Rogers Communications (TSX:RCI.b), on business development, revenue development, partnership development, talent development and sports. Roger is currently the President of R3 Concepts Inc., a consulting and investments company located in Toronto, Canada. From 2010 to 2016, Roger was the Vice President, Business Development, Keek Inc. (TSXV:KEK). In this capacity, Roger was responsible for all new business and partnership development at the Company. Roger holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.


During his career, Suskind worked jointly with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to develop hedge exemptions and went on to build the most significant global precious metals arbitrage business. His team traveled worldwide to educate producers and consumers on the reasons for using futures as their pricing medium to bring credibility to these markets. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Commodity Exchange (COMEX), Vice Chairman of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), a member of the Board of Directors Futures Industrial Association, and a member of the Board of International Precious Metals Institute. Mr. Suskind was elected as an inaugural member to the Futures Industry Association's Hall of Fame in 2005.


Mr. Gargano has spent more than 20 years in public service at the Federal and State level, serving two U.S. Presidents as an Ambassador to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago as well as in the administration of Governor Pataki. Subsequently, as Chairman and CEO of the Empire State Development Corp., Commissioner of the Department of Economic Development, and Vice Chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Mr. Gargano was principally responsible for the restoration of lower Manhattan following September 11, 2001. His involvement culminated in the rebuilding of the World Trade Center, development of key transportation projects and rejuvenation of the WTC business community.
